Now that we’ve covered shopping, stargazing, and ghost hunting, let’s head to where the wild things are- literally! Just off I-40 sits the town of Williams, featuring Bearizona.
Bearizona sits back in the Kaibob National Forest, on about 160 acres. It is not a traditional zoo, choosing instead to display most of its animals in a more natural setting. It is unique to the area in that as well as walking around to view the animals, you can drive as well. Venture through the park in the comfort of your vehicle, or hop on a bus for a guided tour.
Take in the dozens of species as you explore, but don’t forget to check out the shows. There are a handful of varying shows throughout the day, and each is focused around a different animal. The most captivating though, and a delight for all visitors, is the High Country Raptor show.
We hope that you are enjoying the tour of Arizona’s day-cations so far, and we hope to see you at the next stop!
