Welcome to our tour of Arizona! For the next couple weeks, we will be highlighting different places to see and explore in Arizona that you can do in one day, starting from Prescott. The first half of our tour will be the northern part of the state, and the second half of the tour will be in the southern part of the state.
Without further ado, the first stop on our tour is… Jerome! Jerome is located right on Hwy 89A, and has a rich history as a plentiful mining town. The town has remained small throughout the years due to the mountains surrounding it. The winding road on the way up gives way to amazing views of the abandoned mines and the deep red rocks of Sedona.
Jerome is plentiful in small shops filled with souvenirs and local homemade goods. The main hotel is well-known as the most haunted building in town, and if you don’t mind a late day, the nightly ghost tours are highly recommended. Experience the unexplained noises and movements, and have the chance to communicate with a restless spirit.
Jerome is just the first top on our tour of Arizona and the wonders that it holds. Make sure to watch our blog to see where we are headed next!
