Welcome back to our tour of Arizona! We hope you enjoyed the information for a day trip to Jerome. The next day trip you can take is… Sedona!
Sedona is located about an hour and a half north of Prescott. It can be reached by either I-17 or 89A through Jerome. The route through Jerome takes a little longer, but is the more scenic way to go. You’ll know you’re getting close to Sedona when you see those gorgeous red mountains in the distance.
Sedona is a city that prides itself on its beauty and how everything blends together for that beauty. In fact, it is home to the only non-golden McDonald’s arches in the world. The city has restrictions in place for buildings and the colors that can adorn them. The restaurant was made to paint their arches teal instead of gold to comply with the restrictions.
Sedona is well-known for hosting a number of higher-end stores, but there are also plenty of stores for all budgets, and there are always great sales to be found. There are restaurants to suit every taste as well. If you want to see Sedona for its natural beauty, go for a hike into the mountains or check out the famous Pink Jeep Tours.
That’s all for our Sedona day trip. Make sure to check back soon for our next day-cation!
